David - I think it is high time for me to do this as well! Off to double check that I have linked with you in all the appropriate places.
Thank you very much for the link love, David. I am honoured to be mentioned here again :-)
If we’re missing any connections through those sites do let me know and I’ll be sure to add you.
Dennis,
You’re very welcome for the mention. I wasn’t sure what anchor text to use beside your name but I think ‘expert consultant’ is quite fitting. Would you agree?
Great I added you on Facebook and Linkedin :D.
You are already in my Techorati and MyBlogLog ages ago. Just added you to LinkedIN. :)
This is a really simple and great idea to expand your network! I am going to follow suit in a few days!
I’ve added you to Facebook but seem to have missed the LinkedIn invite?
Vivienne,
We’re now in eachother’s LinkedIn contacts which is great. I hope you’ve had a great weekend.
J David,
It’s a simple method, and one of those ‘why didn’t I think of that’ moments when I saw the others making their posts.
Hi David
Which of the social networking sites do you prefer?
I have just joined LinkedIn, I have looked at it before, do you find you make many contacts through it?
Perhaps my favourite at present is BlogCatalog, due to the ‘discussions’ on the site. There are quite a few very knowledgeable people on there. I know you’ve contributed in the past.
I’m building my LinkedIn network because I know that others such as Ben Yoskovitz make great use of it. There’s the ability to ask questions of your contacts, and people also post job openings.
MyBlogLog was the first I took an active participation in. It’s useful, but not as user-friendly as the similar BlogCatalog.
I’ve not made much use of Facebook so far, apart from adding friends and contacts.
How about you?
Hi,
I use Blog Catalog and MyBloglog a lot. I tried Myspace once but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. I signed up with BUMPzee, but as yet have not really built contacts through it. I’ve just added you on LinkedIn.
Expert Consultant is very fitting. You know how modest we Danes are. ;)
It’s funny you should suggest this. I have recently started doing the exact same thing myself on my about page.
Also you should add 9rules into the list. It’s not as big as most of the others but it’s growing all the time, and has some influential people there.
Ben,
You’re right, I forgot about 9rules. There might be others I’ve forgotten about too, but 9rules certainly has some great members (especially in the design field).
I’ve added my profile above.
Just added you too all my networks. It’s getting too many profiles on too many networks.
Need to calculate how many hours I spent a day to check all those network everyday. ;-)
I am not as famous as you guys… but I am getting there. ;-)
David,
I added you on Facebook. There was no group for Guerilla Marketing, so I made one and uploaded 50 or so from the ads that have been piling up. You might find it interesting :-)
As you know, I’m working on learning typography, and lately I’ve been trying to get active on the typography related groups Facebook. Have you had any luck with discussions on such community forums?
David:
Sounds like a great idea. I have added you as a contact on LinkedIn. I’ve been on LinkedIn for a little while, but still exploring how to best use it.
How about Ning? No one has mentioned this great new site. I am in two groups over there - article marketing and management.

I had no idea I was on so many social networking sites. I have been a very busy duck! ;)
Why no StumbleUpon David? For giving and receiving decent traffic, it’s my favourite by a long way.
If you’ve not used it, my link gives a run down on why it’s useful. I’ve stumbled across a couple of sites recently that I think you would have appreciated from a designers POV.
Have done something similar on my site, Ben
Terinea Social
You forgot to mention Flickr?
Jamie
What no myspace?!? hah
Just added you to my facebook
Thanks for adding me. I’ll gladly reciprocate.
Asgeir,
I joined up to the guerilla marketing group. Nice photos! For typography I’d give 9rules a go. Some very talented designers hang out there. Have you made use of the HOW forums? I think for graphic design / typography they’re definitely the best I’ve used.
Justin, Brett,
Thanks for the adds. I do have a MySpace profile, Brett, but it’s quite old and not very ‘professional’ so I chose to not advertise it. I don’t use it very often these days.
Hi Connie,
I’ve not used Ning. Does anyone besides Connie have any knowledge of it? There are so many it can be time-consuming keeping up. I’m limiting new ones to those that have an emphasis on design or a good network of designers.
Carol,
Thanks a lot for the mention on your site. Much appreciated.
Chris,
I did forget StumbleUpon, cheers. It has been a great source of traffic for me (thanks to many of you) so I’ll get that added too.
I forgot about Flickr too, thanks Jamie.

I have joined your technorati and mybloglog
cheers,

Mr. Evans beat me to it.. I was going to ask about myspace. *=) I will add you to my linkedin.
David
Like most people I have way too many online newtorks in operation. Some are like bare patch in the garden and just don’t get maintained (mainly due to the lack of time). Others are up to the minute. But the biggest time sink I find is re-linking to all you contacts on that network. We really need that XFN glue similar to open-id. Maybe with s cross link to open-id, such that open-id is used as a base identifier of your contacts and then this allows you to identify them and import them from one network to the next. Relying on an email address as many networks do is plagued with problems.
hi David
I have faved you and joined your blogcat and bloglog communities as well as bumped your (pictures in the comment box) post
regards Kim
Hi David
Added you to the few I have not done so yet like 9rules and bumpzee.
Take care!
Cheers!
